motelpogo (4124), Plzen, Czech Republic Dec 9, 2002 this was a weird brewery to stumble upon, inside an abandoned factory lot. this tmave was the first beer we tried there and was a real treat to the eyes. pitch black with a lasting head. remarkably well-balanced. very full hops and lasting bitterness comes just at the right time when the full vegemite maltiness threatens to become too much. not far from prague for those considering a beer trip there Quack-Duck (1978), Bodensee, Germany May 23, 2007 Great smell of caramel and roast malt. Not malty-sweet, rather dry. Flavours of caramel and chocolate. eczematic (1172), Sydney, Australia Dec 8, 2002 Unfiltered tmave, served at the brewery by a coal-smeared dude with bikie beard and gumboots on. Dark-brown-black with a creamy light brown head. Very roasted, bitter and coffeeish, without the sticky caramel sweetness that you often get in tmaves, and with heaps of full flowery hops in the aroma and aftertaste. Coffee and a bit of banana show up in the aroma too. Very clean, smooth, and light textured, but still packed with flavour. Nice to drink on the verandah with a view of rusty decaying machinery. swooper (150), Kladno, Czech Republic Mar 15, 2008 good black beer from minibrewery. now is under contruction becouse doufam že po navýžení kapacity nestratí nic ze své dobroty rickgordon (3080), Göteborg, Sweden Jul 12, 2008 Sampled from plastic bottle.
Cloudy dark brown colour. Licorice and rubber in aroma. Medium bodied with light syrupy sweetness. Dark malts are luckily there, with licorice and chocolate, along with dash of rubber. Longlasting flavour. Too sweet for some, but I like.
