Cask Conditioned Handpump Victoria Northampton. A light amber coloured beer with no head. The aroma and taste are both nicely balanced with notes of fruit snd straw bitterness. Bittersweet throughout and an easy drinking balance. Tasty.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival, May 2008. Another golden coloured bitter. Quite clean. Less aromatic than the Alfies from the same brewery. An easy-drinking session beer.

Half pint, hand pulled cask at The Harbour Bar in Kirkcaldy. Some white patchwork on top of an amber-golden body. Lightly toasted grain to the nose. Initial taste of dark roasted malts with salty notes. Dry bitter ending. Quite watery in the mouth [08.11.2008].

Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.
Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, grain, dusty, cabbage water. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. (020508)

Bottle, Milletts Farm Shop, Oxon 28-05-08 Pours mid amber with white head, nice bitter sweet tang, quite decently hoppy and malty but not a patch on its stablemate ’Alfies’.

Bottle. Golden brown with a small head. Aromas are caramel with tea and some spritz. Flavours are caramel malts with earthy hops and citrus. Slightly nutty, too. Dry on the finish.

Cask conditioned at The Swan, Wantage, Oxon. Amber to gold with bubbly white head. Tasty and refreshing session bitter, again in excellent condition. Background caramel note which enhances the bitterness, good dry bitter finish with a lemony note. Good stuff.
