Sweet, rich, caramely toffee aroma has a hint of German lager yeast and light fruity notes. Body starts with good German malty viscosity and caramely sweetness balanced with some mild bittering hops and doughy yeast. Aroma is very malty with alot of caramel as well as some dark fruits. Taste is very malty with alot of caramel, some raisins and chocolate. Full bodied, syrupy across the palate. Smooth, sweet malts, with spicy hops, the flavor is dominated by the malts, caramel and molasses flavors. egajdzis (3602), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 9, 2007 Poured a reddish amber color with tan bubbles around the edges, no lacing. Aroma of vanilla beans, roast, caramel malts, light smoke, and a touch of alcohol as well. Taste of roast, chocolate, raisins, soy, and smoke with light alcohol in the finish.
