Dark copper red with big tan bubbly head. Light roasted malts on the nose. Tastes very sweet with roasted malts and caramel. Full bodied and creamy, but dry finish. This beer had a lot of carbonation and turned to foam almost instantly with each sip. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 3, 2009 Decent and a very nice offering, good take on the style. Sweet maltiness, follows through with a bit of candied butterscotch, some sweet fruity notes rounded out with some doughy toasted bread in the finish. I could have a couple of glasses of this and not complain. scrapdog (2), USA does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2008 On draft at Bethlehem Brew Works.
