Commercial Description:
Dark mahogany in color with a luscious sweet malt body and a toasted bread flavor. Our belgian dark ale is no light weight either, at 6.9% this is a beer that can sneak up on you!

I had this beer on tap at the Beth Brew Works. The color is dark and heavy in appearance, but not quite as heavy taste wise. A slighly sweet finish. A good Belhian Dark.

On tap at the brewpub. Served in a heavy, dimpled chalice... Appears a dark brown with ruby red edges when held to the light. Light tan head fades into a hearty collar. Streaky lacing is left behind. Smell is of oatmeal, cocoa powder, banana, caramel, and light diacetyl highlighted with buttercream. Taste mimics the aromas with grainy, nutty, raisin flavors that seem to pull through. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, and smooth. Well balanced.

The aroma was caramel with some diacetyl and molasses and a light bit of chocolate with a vinous nature. The beer arrive brownish black with very little head and just wisps of it existed at the edge of the liquid surface. The flavor was chocoaltd and diacetyl and a strong acrid acidiy and winey character dominated. Chocolate was the most notable flavor and the finish was dry, make that bone dry with a lasting diacetyl and chocolate. The body was medium and the beer had a low carbonation level. Some alcohol warming was present. Not a very good beer at all. Skip it.Pint at BBW.

Pretty sure this is the one. Had at Jimacks invitational. Tried to like this one but really had no flavor. Could write about color and all that but seriously nothing going on. Usually will try something like this again to make sure.

On tap at the BBW Brew Pub. Poured a medium to deeper brown color (with a reddish tint) and an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toasted nuts with some light chocolate and roast in the background. Tastes of toasted malts, bready, biscuit, caramel, light roast and some nuts. Thinner body. Lacing left on the glass.
