Sampled from Growler courtesy of egajdzis. Poured a deep and cloudy ruby red with a very small sized reddish/pink head. Aromas of berries (I was getting strawberries, raspberries and cranberries) and some funkiness. Tastes of the same with a nice puckering, tart finish.

Hand-bottled sample courtesy of JHop: Pours a murky dark ruby with a lightly-lacing pinkish head. Complex, mildly funky, bretty aroma aroma has s good black currant presence. Body is a little thin, but has a fairly good balance between malty sweetness and tart fruitiness. An enjoyable and unique beer.

(Draught) Pours a murky purplish-amber body with small pinkish head. Aroma of grapes, berries, brett, and dustiness. Flavor of sour, black currants, earthiness, and oak with a tart, dry finish.

on tap-pours a thin white head with cloudy raspberry red color. Aroma is raspberry/cherry, vinegar. Taste is raspberry/cherry, vinegar, tart-bold taste. Good effervescence. An occasional.

Growler. Pours gold with an off white head. Smells of currants, some funk, lots of tartness, some oaky hints. Tastes funky and tarte with some residual sugary hints and some currants show up as this warms. Lots of oakiness on the finish. Nice!

On tap at the brewpub, July 2006. Darker pink colour. Really fine, funky aroma. Tart and sharp, with plenty of juicy fruit showing. One of the most authentic-tasting US fruit lambics I’ve tried. Very nicely done.

This one is great. It pours deep magenta with minimal pinkish head. Solid aroma of cherry, currants, some funky notes, and some malt. The flavor is on the tart side, providing a huge currant and cherry flavor with some lambicy funky hints at mid-palate. Solid complexity and very well balanced.
