This one is great. It pours deep magenta with minimal pinkish head. Solid aroma of cherry, currants, some funky notes, and some malt. The flavor is on the tart side, providing a huge currant and cherry flavor with some lambicy funky hints at mid-palate. Solid complexity and very well balanced.

Sampled from Growler courtesy of egajdzis. Poured a deep and cloudy ruby red with a very small sized reddish/pink head. Aromas of berries (I was getting strawberries, raspberries and cranberries) and some funkiness. Tastes of the same with a nice puckering, tart finish.

On tap at the brewpub, July 2006. Darker pink colour. Really fine, funky aroma. Tart and sharp, with plenty of juicy fruit showing. One of the most authentic-tasting US fruit lambics I’ve tried. Very nicely done.

Poured a hazy, ruby red color with a pinkish white head that left spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of light pretty, musty barnyard funk, dark berries, and candied fruits. Taste of sweet dark berries, with the skins, giving it a lingering tartness.

Thanks to egajdzis for the growler... Appears a dense, haze of light pinkish purple with a small white head that quickly fades out. Smell is of tart raspberries, cranberries, mild oak, slight funk. Taste is of the aromas with a tart, salted berry flavor with a subdued vinegar likeness. Mouthfeel is of dry tartness, medium bodied, spritzy along the sides of the tongue with a touch of sweetness up front.

Growler. Pours gold with an off white head. Smells of currants, some funk, lots of tartness, some oaky hints. Tastes funky and tarte with some residual sugary hints and some currants show up as this warms. Lots of oakiness on the finish. Nice!

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy maroon/purple with a smaller pink creamy head that left slight lacing. Aroma of tart black currant, various berries, Lambic yeast and musty. Flavors of the same...not quite up to par with the flavor but still very solid. BBW has been putting together some nice Lambics.

Poured a very hazy berry color with a brown tint and small pink head. Very big yeasty funk aroma with notes of leather and barnyard. Some berry fruitiness mixed in. The flavor had a pleasant tartness, not too acidic. The Cassis part is a little light. Some sweetness. The flavor is light on the funk part. Fruity with a semi-dry finish.
