| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 23, 2009 Draft - Clear gold, thin white creamy head. Soft fresh pine and grapefruit aromas ride undertones of sweet malt throughout. Earthed pine and citric hop flavors balance well on a light caramel backbone. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry bitter finish. A well constructed pale ale... egajdzis (3645), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of floral hops, citrus fruits, toffee, light toasty dough, and a bit of pine. Taste of citrus fruits, light pine, some sweeter toffee, and a moderately bitter finish. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 14, 2005 Thanks to by brother in law for getting me a grwoler of this. Pours slight hazy dark straw with a two-finger, creamy, off-white head. Great lace. Aroma of hops, citrus, malt, some black pepper, spiciness, and floral esters. Tastes very hoppy, with floral esters, black pepper, and a finishing semi-dry astringent hop resiny feel. I honestly thought this was an IPA before I sat down to rate it today. Regardless of what you call it, it is a fine beer. Is CH-47 a code for a hop variety or a hop-contained carbon-hydrogen bond or something? TomDecapolis (3221), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 10, 2005 A nice amber color with a strong white head. A hoppy somewhat citrus aroma. The flavor has a sharp hoppiness to it, though not as strong as an IPA. There are hints of spice and fruit, perhaps leaning to an orange zest taste. I was hoping for even more hops, but this is still a crisp pale ale.
