IMtheOptimator (1161), Bethel, Connecticut, USA Jan 21, 2007 Poured a dark ruby with lighter highlites and a creamy off-white head. Aroma of rich dark fruits, bubble gum, a bit of molasses, perhaps some bread. Flavor is soft and yeasty, with a mix of sweet and dry flavors, with notes of dark fruits, brown sugar, and wheat bread coming through. Although nothing about this stands out in particular, it’s a pretty smooth and drinkable doppelbock.
