Commercial Description:
Deep red amber colored, full-bodied, with a residual malt sweetness and hoppy flavor. This is an all-around Brew Works favorite. A great Yeungling “Lager” alternative. This british style ale contains a special blend of Cluster, Fuggle, and East Kent Golding hops.

(draft, Bethlehem) Crystal clear amber body with off-white head. Aroma is minimal, trace of caramel. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, some peach, floral. Light-medium body.

Draft at the Bethlehem brewery. Nearly perfectly clear with a burnt dark amber colored body and a burnt reddish purple (in low light) layer of cask-like foam with large bubbles floating on top, speckled. Faint nose of buttered toast and slightly sweet berries. More sweet berries and cedar wood tasted, some nuts and pine and burnt white bread toast as well. Sweet and moderately hoppy, I could see drinking a few of these.

Draft. Clear amber color. Light malty roasted aroma. The taste was the same but thin and fizzy on the palate.

Not a bad bitter on draft at the restaurant. The taste was like most other ESBs in that the dryness and bitterness were upfront, but in the background was a little bread like finish.

On tap at the brewpub, July 2006. Their Cassis Lambic seemed pretty authentic to me and this one was equally, so - very English. In fact, I thought it was the most English-tasting beer I had tried in nearly a month in the US. Attractive, bright copper colour. Strong dusty, robust hop presence with a great earthy bitterness. Chewy, fruity malt too. Excellent balance. Very nice indeed.

Nice coppery color with bitter malty nose. Taste is same with slight hops at finish, and somewhat slippery mouthfeel.
