Poured a medium copper color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of caramel malts, light flowers and a little fruity. Medium sweet. Better than I expected since being billed as a ’great Yeungling Lager alternative’. jcwattsrugger (5361), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 25, 2007 Draft at the Bethlehem brewery. Nearly perfectly clear with a burnt dark amber colored body and a burnt reddish purple (in low light) layer of cask-like foam with large bubbles floating on top, speckled. Faint nose of buttered toast and slightly sweet berries. More sweet berries and cedar wood tasted, some nuts and pine and burnt white bread toast as well. Sweet and moderately hoppy, I could see drinking a few of these. chriso (4796), London, Greater London, England

Their Cassis Lambic seemed pretty authentic to me and this one was equally, so - very English. In fact, I thought it was the most English-tasting beer I had tried in nearly a month in the US. Attractive, bright copper colour. Strong dusty, robust hop presence with a great earthy bitterness. Chewy, fruity malt too. Excellent balance. Very nice indeed.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 29, 2004 This is a flagship beer for BBW, and it is excellent. A nice deep reddish/amber color. Very hopped, with less sweetness and more bitterness than pales and IPAs. It's like Yeungling lager on steroids. I took a growler of this to go. Delicious. Lubiere (4529), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
