Drank several at Musikfest ’99 (and Musikfest 2000). This stuff even won over a bud-drinking friend. Admiral (524), Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, USA

Deep red-copper, rocky beige head with a decent amount of lace. Nicely balanced between maltiness, fruitiness, and hops. Very English-tasting. Full-bodied. I'm not sure what makes this a "Yuengling Lager alternative" as the description says, but it's damn good. slimjim (106), New Jersey, USA

I took home a growler of this during a visit to the area, and I enjoyed the close proximity to the British ESBs that I enjoy. Worth trying if you stop by Bethlehem. obxdude10 (1559), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA

Very hopped, with less sweetness and more bitterness than pales and IPAs. It's like Yeungling lager on steroids. I took a growler of this to go. Delicious. mikejmadden99 (103), Mountain Top, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 18, 2002 Not exactly a ESB by definition but a good beer by my standards. A dark beer in color, with a fruity hint on the nose, of apple and a strawberry sort of smell. The taste is smooth fruity and a bit hoppy all at once. My only complaint was a bit of a bitter after taste, but hey it is a ESB chriso (4796), London, Greater London, England

Their Cassis Lambic seemed pretty authentic to me and this one was equally, so - very English. In fact, I thought it was the most English-tasting beer I had tried in nearly a month in the US. Attractive, bright copper colour. Strong dusty, robust hop presence with a great earthy bitterness. Chewy, fruity malt too. Excellent balance. Very nice indeed.
