Pours a light pink with slight lavender highlights, slightly hazy and a thin head. Aroma is wonderfully tart and full of raspberries, some barnyard, and a fair amount of lactic bacteria. Flavor starts off lightly sweet, lots of tart raspberries, and finishes off very clean with a modest acidic bite, similar to many traditional belgian lambics. Not quite as sour or tart as cantillon or oude beersel etc, but not quite as fruity or sweet at lindemans which is nice. This is a great representation of the style. Very well made and well done. Obvioulsy a lot better than previous years batches judging from previous ratings. egajdzis (3638), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 24, 2006 Poured a hazy, reddish amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of tons of brett, raspberries, and funky horseblanket... I’d imagine the brewer is extremely pleased with the aroma on this batch. Taste was sweet raspberry, more bretty, and a lightly sour, lemon peel aspect. Could have been a little more sour, but overall this is a solid lambic. Poured a deeper and cloudy amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of brett, cherry pie filling, raspberries and light leather. I could smell this all night long. Tastes of tart and sour cherries, raspberries, and brett. Flavor a bit of a let down compared to the awesome aroma. Definitely better than the listed ratings from ’03. It has a lovely pinkish orangish color with a medium body and fruit flavors that had me asking for more. I would love to see a cask conditioned version of this. If you love raspberry and cherry flavors with floral aspects, this is for you. The aroma rocks! weeare138 (936), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA

Appears a hazy, light orange with a small white head and scattered lacing.
Smell is of a heavy dosage of brettanomyces complimenting the sour/citrus, and raspberry & cherry-like aromas.
Taste is of a slightly sour brett filled Belgian with mild grassiness, along with some tart berries.
Mouthfeel is tart and mildly sour but in a good way. Kind of how the sour patch kids would make your mouth pucker but you would keep eating them anyway b/c they were so tasty.

Was about 2 weeks off the tap overall. Pours a hazy almost pinkish red amber with a small off white head. Aroma of tart raspberry, cherry and overall a very nice aroma. Flavor of bread, tart cherry and ceral at the back of the tongue. Turned out to be a good beer for #500, although at the time I didn’t realize I was at 500. Had this again at the brew pub, forgetting that I had already had it. Turns out my numbers came out the same. Was maybe picking up some more sourness in the flavor and aroma when I had it fresh from the brew pub.
