egajdzis (3602), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 7, 2009 Brown with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, toffee, light roast, and nuts. Taste of the same, with a bit of toasted dough in there as well. JB175 (1654), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 18, 2008 Amber color with an aroma of toffee, caramel, and sawdust. Flavor is pleasant with classic ESB-flavor and a bit of caramel and dark bread. Solid session brew. alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 11, 2008 Dark brown color with caramel and chocolate aroma. Some hops with caramel and chocolate make for a nice flavor. Well done/ NicerInPerson (337), North of Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Nov 4, 2007 The aroma was coffee, toffee and caramel. The nutty and roasty aroma had a toasty nature. The beer arrived medium amber brown with a low wispy tan head that barely lingered at the surface of the glass. The flavor was caramel with a nutty and toasty character and a light earthy presence. The finish was dry with lasting toast into the aftertaste. The body was medium with a very low carobnation level. A good English Ale which would be very good on cask. Pint at Allentown Brew Works. hopdog (5527), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 13, 2007 On tap at the Allentown Brew Works locations. Poured a deep orange color (almost brown, but not quite) with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of toffee, caramel, roast and light chocolate. Tastes of toasted malts, caramel, and lightly roasty. Light lacing left on the glass.
