Dark brown with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, cocoa, nuts, some floral hops, and caramel. Taste of roasted malts, chocolate, a bit of smoke, vanilla beans, and caramel with a drier finish.

This porter was by far the best that I sampled on my recent trip to the Allentown Brew Works. Of course, the Hop Explosion was actually the best, but I discounted it because I already tasted it several times at the original location in Bethlehem. So the Porter wins on this particular trip. It pours a very dark brown color, almost black. The head is light brown and leaves a good amount of lacing around the glass. The nose is full of chocolate, caramel, coffee and lightly toasted bread. The flavors are deep, with a lot of the same notes from the aroma. The coffee flavor kicked in quite a bit more toward the finish. This was a very excellent porter.

Draft at Allentown Pours a nice dark brown with a tan head. Has good aromas of roasted carmel malts with a hint of hops for balance. The taste is very good. This style is really growing on me. Has a good carbination a wonderful mouthfeel and a great finish. This is medium bodied and very easy drinking. Has a hearty maltiness with a nice finish. I am hoping to get more of this.

On tap, at Allentown location. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small light brown head that fell to a wispy covering. Very roasty nose with a good bit of molasses, some hoppiness, and a nice coffee accent. Dry and roasty flavor with a nice burnt coffee finish that has just a bit of hops. Mouthfeel is on the drier side and medium bodied. A good Porter, especially if you like a drier version.

On tap at the Allentown Brew Works. Pours a deep brown with lots of amber notes and a medium creamy/lacing light tan head. Aroma of milk chocolate, light roastiness, caramel and some nuts. Flavor was a nice mix of the same. A solid porter.
