12.24.05 22 oz bottle. I love the Brew Works and am glad to see they got Weyerbacher to brew/bottle for them. This was a heavy , solid, spicy holiday ale. Sent me off to the North Pole before a shot of Johnny Walker Blue Label sent me to the grave.

Hmmm...heavy, thick, syrup, sweet in a spicy way...yet pretty smooth going down. Best in small sips. I’m not sure if I could drink more than one - it’s pretty strong stuff. Not for me.

12oz bottle. Poured a dark and cloudy brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves (and I’m sure I’m missing a couple other spices in there), and on the fruity side. Closely reminded me of a stick of gum that’s been chewed on for a while. Tastes of the same. Spices are there in the tastes but not overpowering. Tastes like a spiced cake of some sort. Alcohol content well hidden. Lacing left on the glass.

Great big head of very fine bubbles. The head lasted for quite awhile. Light carbonation. Fruity and spicy nose. Oranges, cinnamon, nutmeg, yeast and a little malty triple aroma. Color is a dark amber. Sweet and fruity flavor with a big alcohol kick. NICE. Warms and tingles as it goes down. Plenty of spices but they are subdued by the alcohol. Gingerbread flavor with some spiced apples. Finish is warming and spicy. A decent and very potent belgian ale. This could stand to age for a little while and hopefully some of the alcohol will mellow out a bit.

Dark copper color with an off-white/ tan head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg and other spices. Tastes of cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg with a bit of alcohol. This is an old bottle. Had this last year and it had a much hotter edge. Fabulous beer!

12 oz bottle Pours a cloudy brown red. Very creamy tan head with good lacing and last well. Smells of spices and slightly fruity. Taste has a nice mix, a good bitter tang. A short but good after taste. This is a very good beer. I would rcommend it very much.

At the pub 12-10. A nice aromatic brew arrives in a goblet, spices, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon. A nice amber-red with a thick off white cinnamon head. Tast was nice very spicy. A quick snap of cinnamon maybe even some ginger combine with the nutmeg nicely and the alcohol is present but well masked. Palate was nice full and smooth though the spices linger. Overall this was very heartwarming.
