Commercial Description:
This beer might be a light in alcohol, 4% alc./vol. but not light in flavour. Brewed with 3 select malted barleys, European hops and yeast carbonating naturally and aging for over four weeks. We have produced what I feel is one of the finest light beers on the market. You will not be disappointed.

On tap at Juniors Bar & Grill. Labled Nickel Brook Pilsner. Very light gold with no head. Nice malt backbone kept it interesting. Nice beer, though it should be simply labled "light", as it isn’t a pilsener.

Bottle thanks to matt7215!
Opaque gold, moderate white head that runs away pretty quickly. Nose is grainy with corn and wheat, maybe hints of lemon (I am cleaning furniture, so that may be the lemon). Strong wheat keeps the flavor from sinking into swill. Crisp body but only the faintest hints of cracker finish. Still, surprisingly light and refreshing. Would be an improvement if this was in most local bars.

On tap KW beer fest. Really pale yellow with small white head. Very little flavour, no hops at all. Clean and well made but absolutely lacking in any flavour here to recommend it, even as a light offering (Stonehammer and Anti Gravity had far more flavour in comparison).

[2118-20090430] 341mL bottle. Mild corny wheat yeast aroma is mildly skunky. Clear, light orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Wheaty yeasty corn meal flavour has mild sweet fruit notes. Medium body. Fair.

Surprisingly decent light beer, with significant bitterness. I have had a few lighter but still bitter beers. Weighs in at 4.4% abv and listed as a pilsner. Very light yellow yet delivers some flavour. Fresh bottle at the brewery. ABove average for pale lagers.

The last 2 posts answer my questions. Purchased a 6 pack at the brewery that had 2 pilsners and 4 lights in it. Anyways it was a good beer. Poured a nice gold colour with average carbonation. Aroma to me was sweet malts. Flavor was excellent for a light beer but if your going to call it a pilsner you might have to vamp it up alittle. All in all though a very tasty beer. I would drink this over Steam Whistle any day.

Sampled at the Kitchener Craft Beer show. This brewery in particular really impressed me at this show. I had to actually email the brewery to confirm which beer this was, it has an alternative name, that being "pilsner", supposedly, which is rather annoying, god I wish brewers could stick to ONE name. This is probably the best brew they make that I’ve tried. Very fruity and malty, it’s very refreshing and enjoyable. This shouldn’t really affect the beer experience for me, but I still feel like I’m holding back points on this one just for the confusion.

Now called Nickel Brook Pilsner. Pours sparkling gold with not much head to speak of, just a light dusting. Flowery hoppy aroma with cookie, mild yeast, some malty sugars. Very flavourful light beer. Lots of hop bitterness (floral, herbal flavours) some sweet malts, cookie dough, a tough of lemongrass. Very clean finish, slightly bitter. A well made beer.
