Dark brown with off-white, frothy head. Aroma of light malt, yeast and flowers. Nice medium palate and a clean, dry finish. A very acidic beer.

I tried this beer on August 26, 2008 at “Smokeless Joe’s” in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a reddish brown with a thin white head. The aroma was sweet malt. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, aith medium carbonation. The flavour was sweet malt, with a definite bitterness in the finish. A good beer, but not a great beer.

Bottle-Deep amber/copper with a frothy white head. Fruity, malty nose with spices and some caramel. Sweet slightly roasted malts with spices and some dark fruit lead to a bitter-sweet astringent, cookie dough finish. Medium bodied and quite nice. Thanks John!

[244-20070329] Tap @ Volo (Toronto, ON). Smells strongly like scrambled eggs mixed with alcohol. Clear, dark amber brown body with lots of quick-rising bubbles and a creamy off-white foam, heavy lacing. Tastes like some sweet old earthy fruit, medium alcohol, with a lightly bitter finish. Medium body is fairly smooth. Great choice for the first patio drink of the season.

NOt sure if this was the one We had at Volo’s, but the taste was good, quite malty, nice dark colour and nice foam. Fine taste with good shape and not annoying. BUt the clip, as I was told, was wrong.

Dark ruby brown, with a big creamy billowy head and great lacing. Dry, dusty toasted malt aroma over a sweet toasted caramel malt character. Pleasant malty flavour, light bitterness accents this reminds me of a vienna lager. Average palate. Solid. 7/3/7/3/14-15
