robinvboyer (1052), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Mar 2, 2007 on tap at volo. Nice to see a little brewery like this tring new things, but to me this is a miss. body was quite thin and wattery to what i would expect in a bock, and the malt wasnt as much there as i wuld have liked, but a good effot though. MrManning (1448), London, Ontario, Canada Feb 7, 2007 Tap at chaucer’s a few weeks ago. Pours ruby red with a beige frothy cap, with some lace. Faint fruity/caramel malt aroma, some sugars, perhaps some plum. Fruity flavours with some burnt sugars, molasses and perhaps some fig. Finishes smooth with just a little touch of the booze. Not too bad. VeloVampire (400), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 23, 2007 On tap at Volo - came a dark amber with a decent white head. Not much in the aroma, some sweet malt, that’s about it. Flavour takes you by surprise, in this respect - nice body, lots of quality malts and some hops in the background. Alcohol makes itself present in the back of the mouth and there is a sort of dry finish after all the sweet malt. A nice product - good warming lager, and certainly not a style brewed often in these parts - kudos to Better Bitters for testing the waters. tomthompson89 (1148), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 21, 2007 Updated: Jan 30, 2007at Volo lots of sweet malts, dark ruby colour, some beige head, little lacing, sweet flavour, not a great aftertaste but nice they try new things DougShoemaker (2613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 21, 2007 Soft, sweet malt and yeast?
