Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 5, 2006 A hazy orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet hoppy combined with notes of oranges. The flavor is sweet combined with an acidic touch, and with primary notes of oranges, but also a hint of metal. Hard to tell the style. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 2, 2006 Bottled, thanks Bov! Cloudy amber, lively head. Tart and lemony with some caramel. Vinous with red berries, prunes and freshening acidity. Russian River-like tartness and complexity. A fantastic beer! Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 16, 2006 (Bottle 75 cl) Vintage 2004. Pours a very unclear, murky amber with a small, off-white head. Sourish, fruity nose. Medium body with some underlying sweetness, but overwhelmingly dominated by a rather complex combination of tartness (citrus - grapefruit) and aroma hops. But it’s not that bitter. A rather sophisticated beer really. Heavily sedimented. The label calls this a "Rousse de garde", to me it mostly reminds me of a Saison. Thanks to Bov for this very nice beer. 160306 joergen (6240), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 16, 2006 Bottle.
