Pours a very hazy dark muddy brown with a full four fingers worth of head that fades slowly to a thin soapy cap. The subsequent lacing is a bit tattered and broken. Smell; very yeasty, almost dusty aroma, with some dark fruits and sweet malts mixed in. Surprisingly, there’s a little little bit of a floral hop aroma, with just some touches of citrus as well. Taste; the yeast isn’t quite so strong as it was in the aroma, but still very evident. Dark fruits and sweet malts fill out the middle of theis beers, and then some floral hops come out. There also seems to be a bit of a smokiness to this as well.. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, and maybe a touch on the syrupy side, with a pretty good drinkability. Not really a beer I’d like to drik all of the time, but certainly a nice change of pace time of beer.

Although BFM markets the 6 types of hops, the bitterness is well contained, and most substantiated in the finish. Superior tasty Belgian dark, with herbal aroma. Some caramel, grassiness, bold taste for merely 7.5%, citrus, coriander,

750. Pours deep cloudy rubied brown with a comically massive head--pouring this beer is an exercise in patient deliberation. Ratio of head to beer for the first five minutes is about 10:1. Skyscraper of sudsy, fluffy mouse and occasionally spotty lace above a shallow puddle of actual beer. "six aromatic hops" sounds like at least two marketing lies in one, if not three--the nose is fairly subdued, all things considered. Yeah, there’s spice and pepper and a bit of funk there, and it’s a great nose, but I wouldn’t exactly advance my hop bill as the preeminent differentiator with this beer (if there is one). Medium body, active carb, forward flavors; nice attack. Mid-palate is a bunch of funk and dark rummy tree fruit. Tingly coriander around the edges, and a slightly puckery, slightly spicy finish. Nice stuff but not the finest BdG on the market by any means.

very carbonated. dark tan color with big white head with lots of yeast "chunks" in it. aroma is mainly yeast with some spiciness and some other aroma I can’t tell. flavor is also very yeasty, mostly dry with some sourness. very little malt flavor. not too bad....for a very different style than I’m used to.

Bottle. A wee bit of a gusher. Pours a dark copper color with a HUGE chunky white head. Aroma of yeast, spices and some funkiness. Also notes of herbs and floral. Flavor is much the same. Dry and slightly sour. Some grassy notes and a little caramel malts. Not bad, but far from a favorite.

Robe ambrée voilée surmontée d’une mousse blanche mince. Arômes de citron et de malt acidulé. Saveurs de malt acidulé, de citron, de fraises, d’oranges et de sauge.

Murky copper color with a thick head. The aroma is dead to the world. Big flavors of wet horseblanket and spices. Much yeast. It’s not all bad.

Chunky, hazy, odd brown-grey color, huge head. Spice, quite sharp hops, long bitterness, quite strong. Dry metallic note causes discomfort. Super frothy palate is fun. Interesting but not satisfying to me and nowhere near worth the price (had I paid for it).
