Sample provided by jasonp. Hazy amber body with a large beige head - lasting, nice lace. The nose is lightly sweet and earthy with caramel, berries and hints of darker fruits. The flavor is very vinous with hay, bread dough and cotton candy. Medium body is soft with moderate, gentle carbonation.

Endless gusher, hazy reddish-brown with a good four fingers of puffy white foam and lots of brown yeasty clumps of sediment. Very malty aroma, tastes are all spicy esters, cloves, yeasty breadiness, spicy and then some malt. Strong bittering herb/spicy hop finish and strong alcohol heat. Odd.

2006 Bottle #276. Slightly hazy brown orange body with tons of carbonation leading to a big ol’ tan head. Dried cranberry over coffee cake aroma with a bit of enticing in the back. Caramelly-sweet start to the flavor with gingery/spice/vine offset. Some peppery yeast in the finish. A tasty ale, it could possibly use a more diverse spicing.

Explodes out of bottle making a five-finger+ white rocky head that goes quickly leaving some lace. Cloudy amber color. Ton of yeast. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Malty, yeasty nose. Flavor is sweet and spicy some raisin, clean finish. $5.99 for a 330ml bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me.

Darker brown color with a a medium head. Aroma has some big barleywine-ish sugar, spice, and lots of slightly faded floral and piney hops. Flavor has some muted floral hops, a bit of sugar, and a spicy but underwhelming profile. Must have been better fresh, but its average at best right now.

Second time I am trying this. First time brought a big bottle to HWOH and this time got an 11.5 oz bottle. Poured with a big head that quickly dissipated into some lacing. Color is a muddy, filled with floaties, light brown. CAnnot see through the beer at all and barely translucent. Aroma is very present - apple cider, with some hop aroma behind it. Taste is a nice surprise, not overwhelmed by the hops but pleasantly and presently in the background of a woodsy, apple cider-esq flavor. Just a hint of bitterness at the end. Alcohol hidden.

Pours dark reddish amber with a mostly receding wispy off-white head. Aroma of caramel, spice, esters, and coriander. Tastes is lightly spicy, with caramel and herbs. Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation.
