Pours a cloudy amber with a friggin huge beige head and nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet herbs, orange zest and dough. Flavor is herbal, spicy, grass, caramel and peach. Finishes long dry and sticky. Medium body, chewy texture.

Pear, boiled peanuts, and mud on the nose. Muddy brown pour with an enormous head, full of sediments. Musty pear, caramel, malt, and fig flavor. Alcohol noticeable. Light grass finish. This was pretty good, but an IPA? What hops were used?

750 ml bottle shared with Phil, served at cellar temperature in tulip glasses. MA18/08

App.: Cloudy orange-copper, tight white head, good lacing. Aroma: Lots of sour cherries, spicy and peppery, a bit funky, some light non-descript fruitiness, a bit of sweet malt, some leafy hops, a bit of peach, some yeast and bread crust. Palate: Medium+ body, fairly soft carbonation. Flav.: Much like the nose – sour cherries, some spice and funk, a bit of wood, white pepper, a bit of yeast and bread dough; lightly tart, fairly bitter.

Quite enjoyable and Phil agrees. A very unconventional IPA. Nice job.

Pours a clear amber with a one finger white head that fades and leaves good lacing. Aroma of malt, sweet fruit, floral hops, light yeast, and a hint of spicy funk. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel with a well balanced bitterness and light tart finish. Very good.

it’s super spicy. tons of spice, lots of alcohol (at this temp). friends suggest watered down, and i can maybe sense that, but i’m on the fence. pretty good viscosity.

Hazy dark orange with a towering off-white head. Applejuice, candied citrus, and floral spiciness in the aroma. Muted malt flavors up front, fruity and estery. Herbal spicy flavors then manifest, some floral tones. Earthen peppery character in the finish with some ruddy caramel. Mouthfeel is a medium light, somewhat dry.

Bottle from Vendome Cahuenga & Riverside. Tart nose. Color is great creamy brown with tan head. Flavor is tart yeast, brown malt, nice funk. Very mild hops at most. Distinctly Belgian.
