| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jul 9, 2006 Bottle courtesy of bstill. Pours ruby red and relatively flat. Smells of peppermint, cloves, citrus, cherries. Taste is fruity with nutty undertones. Very smooth and light mouthfeel. This is the second beer I’ve tasted from this brewer and they are definitely high on my radar now. Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 17, 2006 A tasty as well as entertaining beer. It’s a slighlty hazed, pale amber brew with a huge beige head that slowly collapses around the sides, then slowly sinks while leaving thick lacing behind. (Back at the 750ml bottle - It slowly erupted continuously so long as there was beer left in the bottle. the bottle filled up with foam, then crept down the bottle’s side. Fun to watch.) Scents of powdery pollen, rose petals, cherries, and dried apples work their way through the dense head. The flavor is a light, spicy malt, fruity, has touches of wood, a cirtic zest bitterness, and a splash of alcohol. Nice dry, somewhat bitter finish. Very, very nice.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 12, 2006 Lightly hazed dark amber color with a taller beige head. Mild pine and citrus hops in the background add some depth the the pale malt and yeast profile in the aroma. Yeast adds a bit too much and this comes across as a "belgian" more than an IPA. Woody pine and pale malt again are embraced with a citric bitterness and a true yeast character. In some ways an IPA, in some ways a belgian ale, and yet in some ways just a beer looking for an identity. A nice brew to set back with. Tmoney99 (4792), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 19, 2007 Bottle. Poured hazy copper with an large fizzy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate sweet citrus spice aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and bottle conditioned thin particles. Heavy balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of long duration. This is a standout beer and I would recommend this to a freind. anders37 (4792), Malmö, Sweden

Hasa fruity malty hoppy yeasty aroma. Dry bitter hoppy yeasty flavor with hints of grapefruit. Has a dry malty bitter hoppy finish with a long bitter aftertaste. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 9, 2006 Bottle from Super Saver. I never in a million years would have pegged this as an IPA. The pour spurts its frothy load into the tulip glass with a turbid deep coppery/ruby edged tumescent appearance. The aromas are of an oaky dry tart element, with some peaty malts, spicy florals, and funky grains. The flavor is caramel malty but on the dry side, with mid-palate dry floral spicy notes and some hopcitrus and a good deal of peaty earthiness. Not bad, but a little too dry for my tastes.
