33 cL bottle. Dark reddish/bronze, slightly hazy with an off-white head. Aroma of dusty attic furniture (yeah, that’s right), some caramel, floral hops, light spice and apple. Flavor starts with a big presence of caramel, light brown sugar, aged malt, dust, herbal noble hops, pepper and pear. Pleasant sweetness level, satisfying dry finish. Medium/full body with lively, fine-beaded carbonation. Great lacing and head retention. Very nice beer. This was listed before a bier de garde - which I agree with much more than the current IPA listing.

A tasty as well as entertaining beer. It’s a slighlty hazed, pale amber brew with a huge beige head that slowly collapses around the sides, then slowly sinks while leaving thick lacing behind. (Back at the 750ml bottle - It slowly erupted continuously so long as there was beer left in the bottle. the bottle filled up with foam, then crept down the bottle’s side. Fun to watch.) Scents of powdery pollen, rose petals, cherries, and dried apples work their way through the dense head. The flavor is a light, spicy malt, fruity, has touches of wood, a cirtic zest bitterness, and a splash of alcohol. Nice dry, somewhat bitter finish. Very, very nice.

Pours dark reddish amber with a mostly receding wispy off-white head. Aroma of caramel, spice, esters, and coriander. Tastes is lightly spicy, with caramel and herbs. Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation.

Bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, mds & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Vintage 2006. Pours a hazy orange-red with a large lasting off-white head. Nice aroma of yeast, spices, tart fruit, malt and some sweetness. Big yeasty flavour with herbal hops and tart fruit. Good bitter finish. A touch boozy but not enought to detract from the enjoyment. Medium bodied. This as they say, is the shit! Awesome.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, mediumsized white head, with stuff floating around. Aroma is sour fruits with earthy hints. Flavour is fruits, plum, slight metallicness and enourmous sourness. Pleasant!

Pours a very hazy dark muddy brown with a full four fingers worth of head that fades slowly to a thin soapy cap. The subsequent lacing is a bit tattered and broken. Smell; very yeasty, almost dusty aroma, with some dark fruits and sweet malts mixed in. Surprisingly, there’s a little little bit of a floral hop aroma, with just some touches of citrus as well. Taste; the yeast isn’t quite so strong as it was in the aroma, but still very evident. Dark fruits and sweet malts fill out the middle of theis beers, and then some floral hops come out. There also seems to be a bit of a smokiness to this as well.. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, and maybe a touch on the syrupy side, with a pretty good drinkability. Not really a beer I’d like to drik all of the time, but certainly a nice change of pace time of beer.

Tasting at Immy’s. From 750. Poured a deep orange with off white head. Nose of sour malts, spices and light fruits like apple. Flavor brings more spices and a dryish pear finish.

This one is a style bender. Bottle pours a hazy orange body with a small beige head that has some legs. Aroma is fruity and herbal. Peach, white pepper, lemongrass, and some floral hops. Medium body with low medium carbonation and a prevailing dryness. Taste has some lemonrind, cracked pepper, and lots of herbal and floral notes. A lavender water note seems to be present. Very intriguing!
