rcweir (92), Massachusetts, USA Aug 7, 2008 Poured from 33cl flip-cap, highly carbonated, cloudy golden yellow with floating rice grain sized chunks. Good head. Aroma is funky/sour. Flavor is even more funky. Seems more like a saiison than a blonde. A bad bottle? Allen (559), Wölflinswil, Switzerland Aug 5, 2008 Bottled 33cl. It pours a hazy honey colored beer with a white head. Extremely interesting nose - soy sauce, sage and lemon showing up, accompanied by a huge amount of "le parfait".... Notes of pineapple and quinces in the flavor. Interesting - some sour, herbal components appearing which are accompanied by quite a lot of ginger and juniper berries. Light bodied. Nicely spicy. The bitterness only shows up in the finish. Poor lacework. The taste is better than the nose. Interesting. SQNfan (424), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Jul 30, 2008 Golden in color with a thin head. Sour citric and herbal nose which continued into a funky citric and sour palate. Crisp and refreshing with lots of carbonation in the mouth. blankboy (2563), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 17, 2008 Bottle (330ml) shared with and courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy deep golden-orange with a large frothy white head. Aroma of yest, wheat, honey and yup, some sage. Quite herbal too. Somewhat refreshing flavour of herbs, spices, fruit and a touch of honey. Notable bitter finish. Light bodied. Pretty good. frylock (950), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 10, 2008 Pale golden color with a small white head. Interesting aroma that has notes of pears, white grapes, and sage. Tart flavors of lemons and sweet-tarts candies. A light hop presence and some herbal qualities come through in the finish. Interesting and not too bad.
