Dark brown, floaty bits. Yeasty rubbery aroma. Well carbonated, fresh palate. Sweet medium-roast malt. Floaty bits not a problem (generally I don’t like them). Tasty and thick, but a bit understated. oh6gdx (6460), Vaasa, Finland Jan 6, 2008 Bottled. Hazy rubyish brown colour, not much head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity and caramelly with some earthyness also present. Flavour is earth, caramel, spices, yeast and some mild herbal notes. A lot thinner without the yeast poured in, and also a lot sweeter that way. I prefered this one with the yeast. TBone (5172), Pori, Finland Jan 6, 2008 Bottled (BB 08/2008)
Amber-red color, small white head. Slightly cellary, grassy and caramelly aroma. Typical biere de garde: a bit cellary, caramelly with light hops. Quite balanced, easy to drink French brew.
