Deep bronzy amber with a dense white cap displaying excellent retention and lacing. Very enticing aromas of vanilla cookie, toffee, and pears. Same flavours light up the palate, smooth creamy mouthfeel. Very nice!

Poured a medium and hazy amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, vanilla, wood, and some yeast. Tastes of the same. I would have guessed this one was barrel aged! Thinner body. weeare138 (936), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA

Appears a light haze of amber with a small, off-white head that fizzles out into a tiny cap and collar. Little remnants of lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is of caramel, toffee, light vanilla, and mild cakey yeast.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas, though perhaps slightly watered down to a gentle, subtle flavor.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, thin, and mildly fizzy along the palate.
Overall, I’d give this another shot if it were given to me but I certainly wouldn’t be seeking it out otherwise. TomDecapolis (3174), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 17, 2007 Thanks to zzbrrt for sharing. Pours a lightly hazy orange amber with an average off white creamy lacing head. Aroma of caramel, some dark fruits, grainy sweet maltiness. Flavor of kind of a watery malty mix, some hop bitterness, dark fruits. Not a cream ale in my book...
