Likewise I had to pour it slowly. It looks and smells like a hefeweizen, except for the Belgian-accented yeast. The flavor is a bit more sour and yeasty than a typical wheat but is otherwise similar. Darbyste is quite light-bodied for a Belgian ale. A little fig sweetness lingers on the front of the tongue. Three years later, the flavor is still amazingly fresh, just not as interesting as Saison Dupont. bb (2930), Martinez, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 25, 2007 Cloudy amber body with moderate carbonation and a thin off-white frothy head. Fresh hoppy aroma with yeasty, coriander and fruity (orange, cherry, pineapple, fig) notes. Very sharp hoppy taste that is, however, not as complex as the aroma. Ends with a short but very strong bitter/sour finish. Well done. Tmoney99 (4769), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
