Commercial Description:
Made in the tradition of artisan brewers, Sans Culottes is a blonde beer sur lie. Probably the best bière de garde for the uninitiated to start with. Packed in a 75 cls bottle with a wired-down cork, Sans Culottes sports a brilliantly eye-catching label showing a revolutionary soldier proudly wearing his pantalons, having wisely forsaken his culottes for the coming struggle.

Pours bright golden with a mostly receding white head. Notes of sweet yeasty esters, pears, white grape, lemongrass, honey and bubble gum. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. A very nice ale.

750ml Bottle: Aroma of malts, biscuit, light grains, and yeast. Poured yellow/gold in color with a small to medium-sized, creamy, rocky, white head that lasted throughout. Slightly cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of yeast, pale malts, biscuit, slight apples, grains, and some sugar. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Malty, biscuity, lightly sweet finish is dry.

750ml cork & cage bottle brought over from France by my friend Salima. And thus my 1300th rate is in her honour :) Amber with a decent white head. Aroma - apples, wheat, yeast. Taste, somewhat like a pilsner, but with a more malty sweetness. Full bodied without being too heavy and drinkable for the strength. Nice stuff.

750ml bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow in color. One inch white head with large bubbles. Decent amounts of lace develop. Smell is of grass, apples, and a soft spiciness. Taste is green apples, grass, grapes, hints of spiciness and a touch of earthiness with a hearty hop bitterness. Very crisp throughout. Medium bodied beer.
