Tastes of light yeast, orange, toasted malt and nice fruity esters. Medium bodied and lightly sweet. Wish the head stayed a bit longer but it left a sticky lacing all around. Really enjoyable. maeib (4775), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 29, 2004 Bottled. A sulphorous malty straw-like smell to this copper coloured beer. A very bitter grassy taste with lots of malt also. Quite disappointing. egajdzis (3645), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 28, 2004 Poured a hazy gold color with a moderate off white head and nice lacing on the glass. Dusty hay, straw, and barnyard aroma. Taste was also dry and earthy. Some citrus and bandage, and finished slightly sweet and spicy. A nice BDG. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 19, 2004 Poured with a huge foamy head. Has lots of bubbles in the bright gold and red body. The aroma is ginger and wet leaves after a rain. Very earthy. The taste is light and refreshing. It is faintly orange tasting with some cinnamon bread and cloves. A very nice beer that make me want to keep coming back to this style. jzzbassman (853), New Albany, Mississippi, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2004 Golden with a rocky white head and lots of lacing. Nose is small but lots of spice and fruit. Yeast flavors are the thing here, making for an earthy and spiced fruitcake taste. iwantalambic (1389), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Sweet airy floral flaovurs of honey dew melong, buttery grain, sweet fig juiuce…luscious and soft mouthfeel…a fabulous barnyard ale! Crockett (904), Steelback County, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 9, 2004 Pours golden with medium haze. Lots of sediment left in the bottle. Honey is very pronounced in the aroma with a little bread dough following it up. Light fruit, apples and peaches, citrus. Bready, some yeast. Lots more honey. Sweet and sour finish. The beer has to warm to open up at all.
