Commercial Description:
Made in the tradition of artisan brewers, Sans Culottes is a blonde beer sur lie. Probably the best bière de garde for the uninitiated to start with. Packed in a 75 cls bottle with a wired-down cork, Sans Culottes sports a brilliantly eye-catching label showing a revolutionary soldier proudly wearing his pantalons, having wisely forsaken his culottes for the coming struggle.

Hazy golden coloured. Extremely yeasty and bad. A terribly thin and vomitable brew.

Corn in aroma and flavour. Quite yeasty finish and aftertaste. Golden colour with a cloudy shine. Sour and bitter notes.

Bottle. Glowing orange-golden, nice even, foamy head. Wood, malt, and, a bit of urine in the aroma. Crisp, and a bit of interestingly effervescent maltiness. Very dry mouthfeel. Got better as I continued into the glass.

Hazy gold/orange with fine head and bubbles. Creamy nose with citrus predominate. Light citrus, cream and yeastiness. Flavors of orange and a pleasent nuttiness. Nice and light for summer.

I found this to be a pleasing beer. Gold Coloring. Wheat, fruity, some hops. A good beer to keep around.

Pours a nice amber with a tall, dense, foamy white head. Aroma is very wheat like and refreshing. Some fruit notes as well along with a nice aroma of malts. Taste is more fruit and malts, with some grains and and light spice. Almost like a mix of a Belgian wit and a kolsch without a strong hop presence. Palate is generally smooth save for some pleasant effervescence. Finish is a bit vegetal with more of the grains and fruit coming through. Nice bier de garde!

Pours a nice, dull gold color with a medium head. Nice earthy, dusty, and wheat aroma. More of those in the taste along with subtle fruit and citrus. I like this; it would be one of my best summer deck beers.

Golden with minimal white head. Aroma was sweet and fruity and herbal. Very aromatic. Texture was pleasant, creamy. Flavor was moderately sweet and moderately acidic. A nice blend. I’m just not fond of the style.
