Bottle Hazy yellow colour with a huge fully lasting white head. Aroma and taste of fruits, malts and spice. You hardly notice the high abv. Good beer.

33cL bottle in Ghent. Our bar with hundreds of selections said this was the least asked for beer. Not based on flavour, but on how many people have heard of it. I found it an average ale but the creepy pirate label was magical.

Toweringly huge, very dense yellowish head, slightly irregular over red-amber beer with a golden shine. Very fruity, even slightly lactic nose, esters and fusels à gogo, as well as a good dash of ethanol (well, at 9.5%...). Whiff of tree bark. Wry-ish, again very fruity (apples, plums, and some exotics), as well as slightly peppery. Alcohol & fusels overobvious, and pretty sweet. Just a touch of light caramel. Well bodied, certainly taken the alcohol content into account. Alcoholwarming. Definitely one of the best Huyghe products. Strange - I remember it rawer-alcoholic.

Bottle: Poured a golden amber with lots of carbonation haze. Fast acting bubbly white head. The aroma is orange and metallic spice. Nice yeasty flavor with a orange bite to it.

Bottle. (Brasserie Artevelde according to the label) Clear, pale golden and a white head. Fruity nose, with some spices, alcohol and hay. Hay and grain starts the flavor, and is followed by sweetness and fruityness. Warming, medium to full body, finishing with sweeness, spices, alcohol and malt. The beer gave me the impression that it wanted to be a Duvel, but it didn’t rock my world in the same way. (070427)

Pours a cloudy golden color with floating chunks that almost look like snowflakes, the head is medium but diminishing and has an offwhite color. Decent aroma of orange and yeast. The flavor is ok, orange and yeast are present and to a point pleasant but it’s plainly simple. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and expansive carbonation. Another average product from this average brewery.

A hazy blonde ale with a thick white head. A very pleasant orange peels, bubbelgum and cream aroma, very smooth and appeasing. In mouth, smooth and pleasaing, with candy sugar, good banana malt and cloves, light oranges, and warming alcohol in final. Bieropholie imports.
