0.75l bottle purchased from Nectar in Brisbane. Pours cloudy dark orange with a brief small white head that provides minimal lacing. Aroma is mainly sweet honey malts with traces of caramel, yeast, alcohol and fruity hops. Medium bodied with a straightforward flavour profile mainly revolving around the honey malts but it finishes with quite a harsh off-putting alcoholic presence. Rather disappointing overall.

Bottle purchased at Friendly Mini Mart. This didn’t seem like the freshest bottle, the cage had blackened the cork, and erupted quickly with some foam. Aroma is more beer-y and less Belgian-y, but still pretty grassy. The flavor is crisp still, slightly metallic and and has a rather enjoyable oily mid-mouthfeel coupled with some orange and lemon notes. Not that bad, especially for $7 for 750ml at 8%.

Bottle
Hazy blond body with white, fizzy head. Aroma of orange, citrus, caramalts. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour: quite sticky and yeasty.

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Its an ok quite drinkable strong blond beer. Some citrus on aroma. Some tangerine on finish. Quite drinkable and went very well with my Ardennes pate.
