Pours cloudy dark orange with a brief small white head that provides minimal lacing. Aroma is mainly sweet honey malts with traces of caramel, yeast, alcohol and fruity hops. Medium bodied with a straightforward flavour profile mainly revolving around the honey malts but it finishes with quite a harsh off-putting alcoholic presence. Rather disappointing overall. This didn’t seem like the freshest bottle, the cage had blackened the cork, and erupted quickly with some foam. Aroma is more beer-y and less Belgian-y, but still pretty grassy. The flavor is crisp still, slightly metallic and and has a rather enjoyable oily mid-mouthfeel coupled with some orange and lemon notes. Not that bad, especially for $7 for 750ml at 8%.
