Flavour of treacle, chocolate, liquorice and woody too. Medium bodied, sweet and bitter. Very fine example! Nexxus (261), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA

Strong aroma of hazelnut, malted milk balls, plum, caramel, tobacco, toast, raisin, and drip coffee with hints of spice and herbs. Medium thick velvety body with a moderate amount of carbonation. Slightly herbal/vegetable flavor of plum, raisin, drip coffee, caramel, milk chocolate, smoke, and toast with a hint of anise and spice. A huge, interesting bock. Big thanks to Rastacouere for delivering another Canadian winner! Excellent. JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA

Nice malty aroma, spicy and herbal, caramel, toffee and a bit of coffee and chocolate. Flavour is quite herbal, especially minty, coffee, licorice, and surprisingly, a fairly bitter finish. As the beer warmed up, the chocolatey character intensified lending the beer an interesting chocolate mint flavour. Complex and very tasty. Dorwart (1814), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA

Creamy on top with light carbonation. Aroma is dominated by malts and roasted grains. Bit of salty grilled hamburger also. Yes I am weird. Color is amazing. A nice deep, dark port brown. Flavor is nice and roasty with a bit of warming from the alcohol. More malts and a slightly dry mouthfeel. Finish is creamy, dry and a bit bitter. Slightly burnt also. Some hops presence at the fnish. A different flavor and texture for a bock beer but still quite good. beerbuzzmontreal (2911), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Very good flavor of malt, hops, fuits and toffee. Strong bitter finish. Medium body, syrupy mouthfeel. Very close to a doppelbock and then completely original with its assertive hops. Rich malty aroma of munichy melanoidins, burnt caramel, a background of smoke. Earthy for sure. Flavor is earthy and caramelly toffee, with a surprising rise of hops in the finish. Body seemed to waffle from light to medium. Fairly well drinkable. GregClow (2496), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Rich, sweet aroma and flavour with strong caramel malt and toffee notes and a bit of chocolate lurking in the background. Well-balanced bitterness to finish. Body is a touch thin for my liking, but otherwise, it’s a very good beer. Thanks to jercraigs. jerc (3911), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Aroma is pleasantly fragrant with lots of malt. Sweet malty flavour with nearly perfect level of bitterness to balance it. Mouthfeel is average. Very nice beer. Another hit in the Bieropholie line.
