Commercial Description:
"An "EinsundHälfteBock". According to us, more than a regular Bock and, according to those who have decided to put beers in tight, little categories, it is not quite strong enough to really be called a doppelbock. Brown beer of German inspiration. A 6% abv lager. A full-bodied personality with dominant and complex malt flavors and, oh!, a hop presence which is...um...not quite shy! We broke the style mold for the great pleasure of hop heads. This is Bièropholie!

Last batch brewed in december 2004 and bottled in january 2005. Next batch will be in january 2008.

Dark brown color with a short tan head. Aroma is malty with a hint of hops. A mouthful of caramel and brown sugar. Very enjoyable beer but still young. Review in 6 months.

Bottle 341 lms Big ups to TIGGMTL for hooking me up with one! Pours a deep mahogony body, topped by a creamy looking and thin beige head. Massive malts in the nose, mild rum notes, burnt caramel, alcohol, and faint smoke. Nice! There’s also a little bit of nose burn from the alcohol. Taste is sweet malts, lots of bitterness. Mild caramel and alcohol notes as well. Alcohol as well, but ads a nice warmth! Nice alcohol burn and warmth in the mouth. Cloying at times, long lasting malt aftertaste. Well balanced, complex, good example of what I think a bock should be! CHEERS TIGGMTL!

Bottle... Sparkling clear, mahogany lager with a small, creamy, khaki head with spotty lacing. Malty, chocolatey nose with a hint of cherries. The flavor is of chocolate malts, toffee, resinous hops and pink grapefruit. Medium-bodied and silky with lively carbonation. Lengthy, sticky-sweet, lightly bitter finish.

Deep clear red-brown, thin light cream head. Big bready, caramely aroma. Deep, toasted malt flavor with cheerios and plenty of dark grains, hinting at unfermented malt sugars. Has a leafy, grassy hops profile that is unusual for the style. Toasty and rich. Thanks Stephen (tiggmtl) for the bottle!

Bottled. Mahogany colour. Buttery coffee aroma. Sweet and richly malty, lightly vinous. Dry finish with lingering bitterness. Good bock with nice malt profile.

Mahogany coloured with a medium foamy head. caramel malt aroma with a hint of chocolate. Taste starts off great with a sweet malty flavour but after awhile that sweetness becomes almost cloying.
