Coppery red colour with thick merangue like tan head, good lacing. Nice Cascades aroma, touch of spice with grapefruit. Hop forward flavour, grapefruity with caramel malts. Touches of earth in the finish with lingering bitter grapefruit. Has a fine tight carbonation, lighter mouthfeel with little of the 7% alc coming through, quite drinkable. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA

Moderate grapefruity hop aroma. Taste has a decent bitterness to it, with the finish being more grassy than the aroma indicated. A decent maltiness supports the floral hop finish. Not bad. The aroma is very hoppy with a lot of citrus, caramel and malt. Flavour is bitter and citrusy with earthy flavours, caramel, dough and honey and a very long bitter finish. Mouthfeel is somewhat oily. Not for the average beer guy. boboski (1095), Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 11, 2007 Clear amber body, a touch on the dark side. Thin, compact-bubbled off-white head. Slow recession leaves large dotted lacing, eventually fading fully from where it came. Aroma is grapefruity hops, with minor attributes of pine and pineapple, even lesser orange. Malt is slightly toasty, lightly assertive. Alcohol nuances are available for the contemplation but well controlled. Soft, sexy caramel forms a lovely helix of candied notes around the fruity core of the aroma. Very pleasant, very easy to get lost in. Extreme bitterness and vivid fruitiness push the flavor forward. What lies beneath is light in just about every aspect of the word. Minimal backing malt, a surefire misfire. Seems like there’s plenty of bittering and aromatic hops, but this is entirely too one dimensional and progressively unimpressive. Finishes off-dry and oily/bitter. The lovely fruit juice hop flavor is about the only redeeming trait this recipe imparts. Light-medium in body, well carbonated mouthfeel. Snoro (229), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

Very much flavour of hops with notes of caramel. Ends up very hoppy but nothing overwelming. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

Fresh, citrusy hop aroma. Medium body with some caramel malt and then a very distinct, citric astringency. A bit raw and unrefined in my opinion. Courtesy of Siroy. 120207
