Commercial Description:
The same malt bill as the Bièropholie Cascade. We just double the amount of Cascade hops.

The first production in 2005 was at 104 IBU and was better before December 2005.

The current production, made in April 2007 will be at its best before December 2007.

Definitely not for "Dry" lovers...

341 ml bottle courtesy Siroy. Amber colour with a creamy off-white head. Light toffee leading to big C-hops - grapefruit, light pine, tangerine, some lime. Light caramel gives way to cascades (duh!) - orange, grapefruit, lightly pithy bitter finish. Hoppy for sure, but not as bitter as expected at 104 IBUs. Medium bodied, refreshing. Another nice job Rene!

Bottle. Amber body with a good sized off white head. (3+) Very strong aroma of leafy resinous hops, tiny note of clementine orange. Over the top green hops in the flavour with lots of resin and a bit astringent but not really a lot of bitterness which is surprising. Bit of grapefruit in the finish. Average palate. Thanks for sharing OKBeer.

Dark orange amber also, with a thick bigger bubbled head, off-white, and lacing. Would have imagined hops would be more pronounced, but I found them more coniferous, with nice fruity esters, berry-like. In mouth, the hops are definitely sharper in mouth, but less long, almost dropping more quickly. Citrusy and caramel. Actually prefered Cascade better.

Bottle. Wonderful amber/orange body topped with a thick beige foamy head. Very pleasant hoppy aroma with malty, spicy and fruity (melon, grapefruit, pineapple) notes. Dry hoppy taste with various fruity notes and a creamy texture. It ends with a long and sharp bitter finish. Thanks to PrimeMinister for that excellent IPA!

[Bottle 341ml, fresh, chilled, alongside with the regular cascade]
Cool rich and bold orange/amber color. Thin off white head leaving laces on the glass. Has all the visual aspect of a good quality beer. Floral and citrus hops aroma. This is going to be bitter. Surprisingly, not that much even if it has a lot more bitterness then the regular cascade. Light to medium overall body with an oily texture. Average carbonation. Long bitter finish

341 ml provided by the estimable Rastacouere, thanks David! Pours with a simply enormous, lasting white-tan head, great gobs of lace atop a light maple body...extremely powerful fruity nose, grapefruit and apricot, buckwheat honey and some sourdough maltiness...strongly hoppy throughout the flavor profile, but bitterness leavened by enormous sweetness, unfortunately a bit cloying...somewhat oily palate, carbonation a bit on the weak side...long, lingering hop-oil bitter finish. A mixed bag...I definitely preferred the original Cascade.

A good looking hazy orange brew with a light head. Metallic citrus orange and grapefruit aroma (which is pinesol like when too cold). Also some hints of bready yeast and malt. Nice pine-citrus-spice hop blend with malts that are a bit oaky. Medium dryish body. Good. Unbalanced. Not a bad brew all around, and another interesting selection from my trade with Boutip. Thanks!

(Bottle) Purchased as part of a Cascade 6-pack at Metro Joannette for $12. Pours a huge frothy almond head with a highly-carbonated deep orange body. The nose is very tinny and oddly, only mildly cascade? The flavour is isn’t as overpowering as I had thought - after having tried the regular Le Chaudron Cascade. This finish on this beer is so highly metallic and disagreable that I don’t know if I can finish it. Average.
