The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops and citrus. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of lemon and grapefruit, leading to a dry bitter end. Papsoe (14996), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Fresh, citrusy hop aroma. Medium body with some caramel malt and then a very distinct, citric astringency. A bit raw and unrefined in my opinion. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 14, 2006 Cloudy amber. Way too much fizz, way too much head. Woody, lemony, medicinal aroma. Very bitter, earthy like drinking topsoil. A little bit of wood but I’m not getting much. The hops aren’t at all fresh and I really don’t get much appeal out of the vague caramel malts. Doesn’t seem like you were supposed to taste them at all really. Clumsy, amateurish beer that offers me no reason to drink it. hopdog (5576), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a deep and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of oranges, pine with some light caramel. Tastes of oranges, pine, some grapefruit and some caramel. I expected this to be a hop bomb, but it really wasn’t overly bitter and a decent balance to it. Reading my review of the ’regular’ Cascade, I pretty much said the same thing as for this one. That being said, I did enjoy this one. Rastacouere (5553), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 17, 2005 A clear, filtered deep ruby leaning orange, topped by a smallish white head. Fully rounded crystals run galore from the soft breadiness to tougher and sweeter biscuity, almost nutty overtones. Various citrus fruit hints from the hops which floweriness may be the dominant aspect. Surprisingly elegant bitterness that definitely improves drinkability rather than contributing astringence, well focused aromatic qualities, no wateriness despite the slight airiness among the full body, ponctuated with slow-witted carbonation that still does its job. An archetypal well constructed IPA that keeps its fresh juicy hop focus or simply what happens when every single ingredient finds its little spot to call home. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 19, 2007 Light hazy amber colour with a frothy off white head. Fresh hoppy and fruity aroma. Light caramel malty sweet flavor with a hoppy, light acidic note. MartinT (5055), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 4, 2005 Updated: Sep 26, 2005The Lure: Burgeoning flowery hops yield orange-y fruitiness. The perfume is a tantalizing hop kaleidoscope which even benefits from earthy and caramel malts. Blossoming, a fireworks display.
The Festivities: Flowers in full bloom, oranges freshly pressed, caramel and peaches in a loving stare. Hop bitterness is surprisingly palatable for its size, this is as well-integrated as Bedondaine’s Amère Veilleuse. A hugely vibrant hop session.
Transcendence: Running through a sunflower field.
