2007 bottle - Red dark amber body, fine bubbled beige head; Pleasant straightforward nose with a balanced mix of dry hop and malt; Fresh quite malty body and actually more malt then hop bitter; Long finish, malt fill with a bitter hop part growing. Not really complex but very very drinkable.

341 ml bottle from glouglouburp, thanks Dany. Aroma has a strong malt backbone for an IPA with notes of chcolate, syrupy caramel and there was some hop body as well with floral and citrus hops. Poured a deep dark amber with a small light tan foamy head. Flavor just wasn’t typical IPA at all and was dominated by the malts. Notes of chocolate, grainy bread, orange, and finished withy typical IPA bitternress but just didn’t have much hop flavor. I guess this beer was hoppier when it was young and just goes to show that not all good things come to those who wait.

341mL bottle. Pours reddish amber, with a moderate sized tan head. Aroma of intense cascade hops, but there’s some malt in the background to balance things out. Flavor is big on the citric hops, again with caramel malt in the background, and a bit of metallic character. Ends with long lasting, grapefruity hops.

341ml bottle. Brown color and quickly dissepearing white head. Fruity and kinda grassy. The malt is really present in the taste, but not overshadowing the little subtilities this one has to offer. A sweet and easy to drink beer.

Luminous red pour, clean and clear, with a skin of milk. Barren pine wood, wild rice and musty grass aroma; trace citric bitterness, dog food, dirty honey and toffee. Quiet pears and honey. Cascades seem too violent for the softness of this smooth, pillowy malt profile.

Golden fruit peel bitterness and basic pine sap flavor lifted by a surprising spritz and juicy liveliness. Malt characteristics are dark and husky when not dominantly crystal and oversweetened. Bitter-ish fruit seeds. Crisp, leafy cascade hops seem to accentuate that crystal presence in a way the musty, earthy goldings didn’t, and that’s unfortunate. A pleasant, sweet citrusy sunshine lingers in and out, but this husky quality is pretty pushy and rough.

Medium body is somewhat sharp and quite dry. Lingering, grassy, husky finish. Somewhat burnt and acrid with an discomforting surface dwelling sweetness. Goldings were much more fitting for the recipe, but the damage done is forgiveable for the most part. Thanks Dany!
