Commercial Description:
The sister of Bièropholie IPA. The Bièropholie IPA, Golding and Cascade are the same beer. Only the hops are changed.

The first batch was made in March 2004 at Express-Broue.

The second batch was made in April 2005 at the brewery Le Chaudron.

The third batch (V.3) was made in mid-December 2005 and bottled end of February... Because of a very bad producing procedure, It was not autorised for sale by Bièropholie but was sold anyway by the contract brewery.

Bieropholie Golding India Pale Ale 11/26/08 (bottle, from Simon Anthony. Pours brown with red tinges and a nice creamy head. Crisp palate with pearly carbonation, and a smooth finish. Flavor is buttery soft, with a softly floral front-palate, followed by unusual but no less delicious flavors of tea, tangerine, and ripe green grapes. All flavors add up to a subtly sweet flavor that was well balanced and appropriately complex. This is a delicate IPA, and in my opinion a bit of a hybrid between English and American versions. Definitely worth trying!

Bottle courtesy of glouglouburp. Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells of fruit, dough, earthy. Tastes of caramel, tea, touches of earthiness, a hint of pepper. Decent.

very dark looking IPA, looks like an irish red, or a very dark amber. Nice beige head. Aroma is some nice hops, not smelling much goldings though. Some good malt, and and biscuit aroma, and a touch of cherry? Flavour is Bitter, and hoppy, there is a touch of the bitter goldings in the flavour, but all in all, not as hop forward as i would expect in an IPA, but it’s nicely balanced, and a good beer.

Un goût de cerise. Bonne effervescence, belle couleur rouge, un peu de mousse. Un goût d’amertume.

11.2 oz bottle from glouglouburp, thanks Dany. Pours a good looking deep reddish amber with a thick foamy beige head. Aroma has some plastic notes that just don’t seem to be in line with a good IPA. Other interesting aromas are band aids, honey and syrup. Hmmm so where’s the hops at? Flavor has lots of caramel and toffee with only a light hint of citrusy hops. Very drinkable beer but not really an IPA, well at least not up to American hop heads standards.

12 oz botlte. Pours a clear medium amber and a thin lasting off beige head. Aroma is is light dms vegetal, earthy, herbal and lots of thick sweet candied fruits, sweet brown sugar and honey. Flavor is very herbal, tea-like hops, astringnet and harsh bitterness, just seemed slightly off, but otherwise it is ok for a session IPA.

Speckled, transparent pour of resiny amber. Aroma more of a lighthearted bitter or blonde, softly sweet, cool, and calm. Most heavy on pears and honey; floral, bright and smooth. Light minerals, caramelized sugar, and toasted white bread. White fruit. Comforting in simplicity and inviting in easy bitterness.

Pear sparkler and soft dusty bitterness in the flavor, backed simply with mild flourishes of grasses and fruity esters, purposefully restrained. Biscuity malts and lemon zest. Consistently sweet but always reserved; very much an example of mostly-submerged but deep, polished personality. Malt characters are extremely well chosen and seem to exemplify the distinct strengths of British style brewing.

Crisp, medium body with soft effervescence; some distantly white touches in the middle, and finishing on a dry, grassy bitterness; somewhat wooden, and with surprising length. A carefully executed, wholly English example; malt character seeming diligent and clean, and hops used simply to moderate. Impressively done. Thanks Dany!

Clear sunset color with not white head. From yong cherry to old celery aroma. Soft bitterness, caramel flavor and some vegetable(Jerusalem artichoke) well balance.
