Poured a dark reddish-amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of flowers, caramel, and pepper. Taste of the same with light grapefruit. Another solid IPA from this brewery. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 12, 2005 Updated: May 20, 20052005 bottle from Depanneur Peluso. Beautiful deep amber-orange, light brown shades and a faded copper-gold tinge on the edges. Large yellow head is fairly well-retained and fades to a ring. Smells of caramel, lightly floral hops, rich toffee, yet some sweet, dried hay, rich warmed honey. Very hard to pinpoint everything in the aroma, for me. Flavor begins with more floral notes, hints of spicy perfume-like notes, with toffee right away, flowers, soft, yet noticeable bitterness. Flowery, lightly bitter finish, bits of caramel. Short and dry, mostly. Medium body. Soft carbonation, bit watery, though not in a bad way. rederic (1816), montréal, Quebec, Canada
