Commercial Description:
The sister of Bièropholie IPA. The Bièropholie IPA, Golding and Cascade are the same beer. Only the hops are changed.

The first batch was made in March 2004 at Express-Broue.

The second batch was made in April 2005 at the brewery Le Chaudron.

The third batch (V.3) was made in mid-December 2005 and bottled end of February... Because of a very bad producing procedure, It was not autorised for sale by Bièropholie but was sold anyway by the contract brewery.

A deep copper beer with some lights of amber going in, a nice creamy head that stays all the time. A very hoppish smell escorts this beer, golding hops, hoppy oily smells. The taste is very sharp and bitter, a shy maltish is present with caramel flavours that comes finish that beer, but the Golding hop is quite omnipresent. Even if the Golding’s hop gives me stomachaches, I don’t mind some suffering to taste this beer!

Cloudy murky dark amber poor with a thin beige head and good lacing. WOW! Aromas are super hoppy... Caramelised malts, alcohol, ginger, pepper... Very explosive! Very nice creamy bitter feel to this beer... starts realy strong then fades slightly and is long lasting. Lightly sweetened twist. Added flavors of figs. Very complexe aromas and flavors... 2005 brew... just WOW!

But à Vice & Versa, en fut. Ambrée foncée, collet moyen. Arome d’houblon et de malte de caramel. Le goût d’houblon est asser bon, un peu aigre-douce, arrière-goût légèrement amêre.

Orange, pine floral hop aroma with underlying maltiness. Very clear amber colour with large, pillowy white head that lasts nicely and recedes with nice lacing. Strong bitterness with pine-like hop flavour and nice balancing sweet malt. Smooth mouthfeel and medium body. This is an excellently balanced English style IPA and is very enjoyable. Bottle.

(341 ml bottle: Obtained in trade with tiggmtl, thanks Stephen!) Oh BABY! I know I live on the west coast now, but this is my kind of IPA! Big, malty flavor drives this beer, with a mild hop bitterness sitting in the back seat, just along for the ride. Malts are rich, sweet, caramely, bready, very toasty, and bordering on wort-like, and it has a barrel-aged and vinous feel to it. The gentle hops slowly come to life, contributing a light bitterness in the finish. With the malts so rich and the hops so subdued, it’s the kind of flavor you get out of a beer that’s seen some serious aging, but the beer hasn’t been available for very long. Amazing. The aroma is fairly malty and fruity, and also kind of woody like touring a winery. Full bodied and smooth, rich and chewy on the palate. Cloudy with dark particles suspended in the bright, ruddy amber liquid. The head is absolutely gorgeous, light tan in color, over an inch in height after the pour, and maintaining a nice layer for the duration of the session. A thick blanket of ringed lacing covers the glass. I know this isn’t your typical IPA, but this is some kind of beer, absolutely delicious, beautiful to look at. I love it. Must get more!

Initially a vibrant floral and herbal hop aroma hits the nose above a subtle background of earthy caramel malts. The flavor does a reversal though, with a nice full rounded palate featuring burnt caramel malt, mild earthiness and a hint of smoke with floral hops skirting the edges. Finish is balanced. A very "down to earth" beer and highly similar to the Free State Copperhead Ale.
