Never seen anything involving Bieropholie at such a low price... Very funny label with a few jokes (or intended jokes...) on it; being bilingual french-english makes it even funnier with the governmental warming(!)’s translation. Great aroma, citrusy and floral. The intensity of the taste took a few seconds to reveal itself. Great depth in the hoppiness, which is also very citric, with floral, sweet and herbal notes, quite complex and interesting. Slightly oily mouthfeel on a quite malty body. I like this and couldn’t say anything against it. Very good!

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Bottle: Poured a deep copper color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus hops are more pronounced then expected but also very enjoyable. Taste is also a very refreshing mix between some bitter and citrus-like hops and a nice dry caramel malt backbone. Body is about right for the style with good carbonation. Very well done and easily drinkable. punkska101 (106), Chambly, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Bottle dark clear copper soft carb no head. Med body. Long bitter finish. I taste grapefruit, citrus. It’s easy to drink. A nice session beer. Rastacouere (5559), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 10, 2009 A very lasting white head settles over the clear light amber pour. Woodsy, citrusy hops take on most of the aroma, which is very fruity with its fresh, herbal, grapey, hay-like sauvignon maltiness. This initial attack evolves in mouth where more fruits grow obvious, again including white/green grapes, but also, through the hops, mandarine, and orange. All along, its malt base, while not necessarily consistent, feels sweet, almost to the point of having a candied side. Strong pepper emanation show up in the finish as cerealic malts fade away and mostly balance it all. Relatively long herbal, spicey finish where the strong sweetness is but a memory. Not as likeable to me than some of their single hop IPA or dark ales, but certainly worth its modest price. garthicus (1307), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Aroma: Slightly hoppy at first, some winter spices, roasty with some citrus and malt. Interesting. Flavour: Banana, sharp hops, a good deal of malt, vanilla, really different, quite sweet and a nice long sharp alcoholic pine finish. Nice. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Bottle ( 341ml ). Shared with blankboy and garthicus, via trade with JulienHuxley. Deep clear amber, smallish lasting creamy foamy beige head. Thick caramel and pungent floral/yeast/spice aroma - reminds me of a mild DdC Rigor Mortis - really sweet and mouthwatering. Taste is simpler, grassy and bitter, dry and slightly sharp - not much alcohol presence behind the bitterness. Solid mouthfeel, very astringent and decently carbonated, pungently bitter linger - solid ... APA? whatever. Diogène (563), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
