Bottle from puzzl. Black body with a small tan head. The nose is baker’s chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and smoke. The flavor is lightly sweet with acidic roast, chocolate, coffee and cola. Medium body is soft with moderate carbonation and an acidic finish.

#300. From french tickler via trade. The pour was ultra-dark with a one-finger tall brown head popping up momentarily before quickly plunging back into the murky abyss. The aroma was smoke, prunes and roasted meat. Thin chocolate. No hops noticed. The flavor was some chocolate that took a back seat to the smoke and prune flavors. Definite sourness that wasn’t pleasant. The mouthfeel was on the thin side. Was hoping for more from this one.

Thanks to maniac for the chance to try this one. Pours like motor oil, as black as it can get. Tan head raises up valiantly before getting sucked into the depths. Chocolate, coffee, and faint spruce on the nose, quite nice. Surprisingly medium bodied, which struck me as being a hair lighter than what I would have wanted. Moslty chocolate flavors and a bit of coffee, faint astringency. Not bad, but a bit one dimensional.

Pours a jet black body with a small creamy brown head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, caramel, molassas and roasted malt. Sweet coffee and chocolate flavor, light molassas hints and some roasted malt. Medium body with medium low carbonation.

Bottle@Home. Milky, blackcurratn and espresso aroma. Black color, light brown head, oily, fair lace. Falvor doesn’t live up to the aroma, what a pity. Light sweet, sourish, blackcurrant, coffee. Bit thin even. Thank you DerDoppelbock for sharing this.

Bottled. Dark color, medium dark brown head. Aroma of heavily roasted malt, bready, licorice, coffee, chocolat, rye. Malty taste, licorice and chocolat, some sour milkyness, bitter. Bitter malty palate. Very good aroma, taste is a bit less though. Still great stuff.

Bottled. Aroma is creamy milky, roasted, chocolate and very full. Black coloured and oily with a huge, brown, fluorecent head. Taste is actually a little disappointing after the promising aroma. It is sweet, a bit sour with blackcurrant and some nice bitterness in the finish.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle. Deep black pour with a burgundy edge. Smoky aroma of hickory and bacon, with a silky underscore of chocolate and earth. Tangy, bitterly soapy flavor; black malt and plenty of zesty citrus bite. Hints of pineapple and apple are more or less drowned beneath the weight of tar and ugly, thin astringency, though the greater malt construct is stable enough to bolster itself with relative success against the assult. Fairly thin in the mouth, considering. Licks sweat and lemon on the smack. Very odd. Thanks for sharing, Ryan!
