No marks at the top and 7.7%.<br /> 2007 vintage: Maniacs asked for a thicker version. Here it is. bottle with another big thanks to andrew for sharing at P4..... pours pretty close to black with a wispy tan head that dissipates quickly..... aroma of your standard chocolate malt and molasses.... flavors of roasted malt, chocolate, little coffee maybe with a slightly bitter aftertaste....not a bad imperial stout.

Bottle from Francois_MTL, that I accidentally broke, and he was kind enough to resend to toncatcher as part of their trade. Thanks! Tried at fordest’s alternative Belgian tasting. Pours flatish. Lots of up front roastiness. Deep dark tan head. Thick body. Smokey. Stains glass brown.

Sample tasted at "Spring in the new year with brett" at fordests house. This was just alright. My taster was fried at this point.

Tasting, courtesy of Fordest’s event. Bier #13. I think wetherel brought this one. Black pour with a tan head that lasted a long while. Nose was big an bold with molasses and coffee. Flavor of burnt toast, dates, plums and espresso. The mouthfeel was thick and a bit syrupy. The finish was long with lingering black licorice. Overall: A great Impy, and one that is not over-rated.

2007 341ml bottle from Harry! Prettiest head of any beer i have consumed! Nose of chocolate, coffee, and light sweetness; Opaque black with a medium height, very dark cinnamon brown head that lightly laces; Flavor is chocolate with some light hop bitterness in a medium thick body; finish is chcolate and light hops.

A deep, black and thick-bodied imperial stout with a overripe fruit aroma. Tastes begins sweet and then becomes a burnt coffee, with a hoppy aftertaste. Nice and oily on the palate.
