Medium body, soft carb. Woody, somewhat caramelly, resiny. Very dry and piney. Dryest IPA I’ve ever had, and easily the best dry IPA I’ve had. If there’s anything I’ve learned this weekend about Quebecois brewers, they make sure to make their beers as unique and distinct as they can while making them as well as they can make them. And they all seem to have *really* cool-looking labels. EnSiFeRuM (501), Quebec, Canada

Couleur orangée avec une mousse qui tient très bien. Arômes de citron, lime, pamplemousse et caramel. Goût de caramel doux qui se fais renverser solidement par le houblon et se termine avec une amertume tranchante très agréable qui persiste. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 15, 2008 Orange-copper, small head, quickly falling. Nose of grapefruit, earthy hops hints of caramel, not very complex. Flavor is very bitter, lacks some balance of the malts. This is their most recent release (decembre 2007), but it feels as if it is a little oxydized. Mouthfeel is a litlle oily, the finish lacks precision. Long aftertaste, not very pleasant. Decent. tjthresh (1779), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 5, 2008 12 ounce bottle from the Festivus Guy. Pours red with a dirty white sticky soap bubble head. This is one of those crazy malt forward IPAs. The nose is buttered over cooked biscuits, a touch of caramel, and earth, dirty hops. The flavor is biscuits and bread, with a nice smack of pine bitterness. Medium body. Oil. Medium carbonation. A bit of sweetness in the finish. I enjoyed this beer more and more as I drank it. Thanks Festivus Guy. holdenn (1444), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 4, 2008 12 oz bottle sampled thanks to drewbeerme. Pours clear amber orange with a small white head. Aroma is really malt with citrus, grapefruit, toffee and a slightly sour. Malty flavors (a little biscuity and toasted). Citrus, piney resin, tannic, and tart. Decent beer. drewbeerme (2305), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 27, 2007 Pours a clear copper with a thick beige head, with good retention. Aroma is caramel, nuts, hops, pine, and roasted malts. Flavour is nutty, with roasted malts, caramel, pine and a bitter finish. A little sweeter than expected. Medium to full body. Pretty good overall, but not my favourite from Bièropholie.
