Sweet caramel malt aroma with a hint of heat. Dark brown body with red highlights. Full palate. The taste follows the aroma with more brown sugar falvors and some light fruits. Excellent brew. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 15, 2007 Bottle. Pours root beer color with a small head but expected from the huge gravity in this. Aroma is light dried fruits with caramel and cocoa. While from the fridge it’s a bit cold, the sticky sweetness really comes through. This really is a dessert beer. Im not sure of the vintage but it tastes like this has some time under its belt. It could probably use another 10 years or so. cbkschubert (1975), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Very little carbonation. Aroma of apple and pear. Flavor is fruit and toffee. Palate is slightly dry. Medium to full body. Alcohol isn’t over bearing. Good beer. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 1/5 | 16/20 | Jan 2, 2007 341mL bottle from HogTownHarry, no date. Pours a hazy orange brown with a tiny beige head. Aromas of port and tobacco up front, sour cherries, light smoke, molasses and prunes. Flavor is again dominant with port characteristics, a tobacco boozy quality. Other flavors follow much the same as the aroma. Bone dry alcoholic finish with a bit of roasted malt chalkiness. This is a very nice beer overall, though the alcohol does distract a little more than I would have liked in the taste. Medium to full bodied, though leaning a little more towards medium due to the high ABV, , moderate carbonation. Reminds me somewhat of HOTD Adam, but not quite as good. ryan (1776), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

Not much bitterness. Very interesting. 211006
