Commercial Description:
Un genre d'hybride bière/tawny/cognac... Des fruits, cerises, dattes, caramel et tout le pataclan sur une finale toute chaude d'alcool. Une gaterie à partager avec l'être cher.

For me the brewer, it's not made to be an American Strong Ale or something else. It's made to be a kind of barley based port-style with very little carbonation, just enought to protect it against oxydation.

Cola brown color. Thin off-white head. Hmm... interesting flavor. Fruits and nuts, odd grassy hops with Belgian-seeming yeast remnants and caramel. Really delicious complex flavor... something about it... maybe the dark fruits gives it a belgian feel. Also has a bit of alcohol edge... not enough to ruin the flavor as it is good, but enough to make it noticable.

Well I’m not a big fan of extremely strong alcohol tasting beer, so I kinda figure that this one wouldn’t do much for me. I really have a hard time getting past the strong alcohol aroma & flavours.

Bottled. Via trade w/ Rastacouere. Pours a very dark shade of garnet- almost brown. Ivory head. Fruity and sweet aroma with some chocolate and toffee notes. Smells wood aged. Sweet and malty with tons of fruit and alcohol. Flavors are dark fruits, vanilla, bourbon, port, cotton candy, caramel and chocolate. Pretty "out there" but very enjoyable, spend some time with this one.

Bottled, thanks Rastacouere! Mahogany colour, near no head. Distinct port aroma. Sweet and full bodied with dense mouthfeel. Very vinous r brandy-like. Rich and elegant. Finishes with cherry-like fruitiness.

12 oz bottle thanks to Sasquach911. Lots of carbonation. This brew poured like a cola. The color of cola. The fizziness of cola. The head dissapated like a cola. Even the mouthfeel is thin like cola. One thing for sure though is that it did not taste like cola. Very port like aroma mixed in with the alcohol. Flavors were more alcohol, lots of malt. and some more vineous flavors. Good, but wow, 12.5 % I’m feeling it!!!!!!!

Bottle shared with tupalev, jerc, blankboy & HogTownHarry - courtesy of blankboy. Mahogany colour with a wispy head. Aroma is sweet & boozy, with lots of dark sugar & wood & some cherry cough drops. Flavour of port, caramel, wood & alcohol warmth in the finish. Quite nice.

Golden-brown colour. Toffee, alcohol and crackerlike aromas. Sweet, brown sugar flavour with light molasses. Simple but tasty, and surprisingly not a lot of booziness.

Deep brown-orange beer with a thin white head. Big dark malty aroma, orange peel, toffee, chewy light molasses. Very aromatic, chewy toffeeish malts, brown sugar. Flavour is quite sweet, malt and cherry fruit. Well-hopped with herbal UK-style hops, orange peel flavour. Slightly hot and could probably use a bit of age. Still a tasty barleywine.
