Commercial Description:
A specialty stout fermented with belgian yeast creating an interesting blend of dark roasted malts, espresso, fruit and spice flavors. This is the dark beer light beer drinkers are afraid of!

Pitch black with suitable brown, creamed, lather top. Deep, dirty coffee grain roastiness, indicative of a foreign export style stout. Flavor is only mildly roasty and fairly hopped, with some citrusy notes present. Bitter hop and roast finish.

3/28/09 on tap at the brewery. Aroma is creamy roast with no hop character. Appearance is very dark brown with a well maintained tan head. Flavor is heavy toast forward, slightly sour, with a moderate buttering. Mouthfeel is full bodied, creamy, with an acrid malt texture. Overall, a touch harsh, but great for rich malt fans.
